An allocated budget supports the design and delivery of CPD on inclusion and SEND.

Comprehensive staff CPD

CPD programmes are developed for all staff (e.g. SENCOs, Teachers, Teaching Assistants), starting with induction. This ensures staff are equipped with SEND specific knowledge and skills required to effectively undertake their roles, at every stage within their professional journey.

CPD endorsement by leadership

Leadership endorse Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and lead by example, (e.g. actively participating in CPD that promotes inclusive practice).

Evidence-based CPD content

CPD is evidence based, with content drawn from trusted sources e.g. Education Endowment Foundation (EEF), SEND Specialists.

Needs-based CPD design

CPD is informed by needs within the setting and is responsive to its changing context and cohorts. Evidence from ongoing quality assurance monitoring (e.g. SEND focused audits, lesson observations, attainment and progress data, stakeholder surveys), informs the design and implementation of CPD.

Trained exam arrangement practitioners

We have appropriately trained practitioners to carry out exam access arrangements.

Varied CPD approaches

CPD is varied in approach (e.g. includes internal / external training, coaching, mentoring, supervision and networking).
